design DEVELOPMENT

Ridge House is located on a 4.5 acre hill site in the heart of the Blue Ridge mountains. The concept grew out of the desire to maximize views to the mountains but also back to the forested hillside. A series of ‘blocks’ create a strong spatial order and logic. The required domestic spaces are defined as rooms between the blocks, while the blocks themselves contain most of the service spaces. The design is ongoing, and construction is anticipated to start in early 2024.
