Office Building - planning & approvals phase

An existing two storey light-industrial building is retained, refreshed and integrated into the overall massing composition. The unique geometry of this existing building informs the shape of the new addition which steps back towards the houses at the rear and holds the street edge at the front. Two vertical elements express the vertical circulation, stairs and elevator, while softening the angular geometry of the main building mass. The entire new addition is clad in a pleated perforated metal screen that provides privacy while still allowing light and air to pass through it.
